Dota 2 Pro Meta Report: Dark Willow leads with 38 picks on patch 7.41f

The new Pro Meta Report is here, and one hero stands far above the rest. Dark Willow was picked 38 times in about 64 recent pro games. That is 11 picks more than the number two hero. The data comes from OpenDota and covers recent pro games on patch 7.41f, which came out on 2026-09-15 and changed 35 heroes and 18 items.

Three words matter in this report. A pick means a team chose the hero for the game. A ban means a team blocked the hero, so nobody can play it. Win rate shows how many of its games the hero won.

Which hero do the pros pick the most?

Dark Willow is the most picked hero with 38 picks and a 55% win rate. Hoodwink is second with 27 picks, and Windranger is third with 24.

Dark Willow is not only popular, she also wins more than she loses. Teams rarely ban her: she has just 6 bans. Compared with last week (2026-10-28), her share of all pro picks grew from 3.7% to 5.9%.

Earthshaker is also rising, from 1.4% to 2.5% of picks. Nature's Prophet went from 1.7% to 2.3%. Earth Spirit fell from 2.6% to 1.6%, Winter Wyvern from 2.5% to 1.7%, and Dragon Knight from 3.7% to 3.0%.

Which heroes do teams ban the most?

Bounty Hunter is banned the most with 49 bans, and it was picked only 3 times. Lone Druid has 40 bans, Enigma 36, Slark 35 and Brewmaster 30.

Bounty Hunter is also the most contested hero, with 52 picks and bans together. Slark follows with 48 (13 picks and 35 bans), Lone Druid with 47 and Techies with 45. Techies has 21 picks and 24 bans, so teams both play him and block him a lot.

Which heroes win and lose the most?

Among heroes with at least 12 games, Witch Doctor has the best win rate: 67% in 21 games. Timbersaw follows with 57% in 14 games, and Dark Willow has 55% in 38 games.

Witch Doctor also has 14 bans, so teams know he is strong.

The worst results belong to Ember Spirit with 25% in 12 games. Windranger and Pangolier both have 29%. Windranger is a big surprise: she is the third most picked hero, but she wins fewer than one game in three in 24 games.
