Dota 2 Pro Meta Report: Dark Willow leads with 121 picks, Techies has 168 bans

Welcome to our weekly Pro Meta Report. We look at about 276 recent pro games on patch 7.41f. This patch came out on 2026-09-15, 35 days ago. It changed 35 heroes and 18 items. Last week, Dark Willow was also the top pick. Now she has 121 picks.

Which hero do the pros pick the most?

Dark Willow is the most picked hero with 121 picks. She wins 52% of her games and was banned 95 times.

First, three simple words. A pick means a team chose the hero. A ban means a team blocked the hero, so nobody can play it. Win rate shows how many of its games the hero won.

Hoodwink is second with 112 picks, but she wins only 41% of her games. Windranger is third with 108 picks and a 55% win rate. Dragon Knight has 98 picks and also wins 55%. Winter Wyvern has 88 picks and wins 44%.

Which heroes do teams ban the most?

Techies is the most banned hero with 168 bans. Bounty Hunter has 165 bans and Enigma has 163. Lone Druid has 151 and Brewmaster has 146. Techies has 76 picks and wins 57% of them.

Add picks and bans, and Techies is the most contested hero with 244. Dark Willow is next with 216.

Dark Willow is both popular and feared. Teams pick her 121 times. Other teams still ban her 95 times. That is why she is the second most contested hero.

She does not have the best win rate, though. At 52%, she wins only a little more than half of her games.

Which heroes win the most, and which are rising?

We only count heroes with at least 28 games. Enigma is the best with a 68% win rate in 40 games. Invoker has 66% in 32 games.

Dark Seer has 64% in 42 games and Lycan has 62% in 34 games. The worst are Centaur Warrunner with 37% in 30 games, Tiny with 41% in 37 games and Outworld Destroyer with 41% in 34 games.

Compared with 2026-10-14, some heroes are rising. Their share is the part of all pro picks. Dragon Knight went from 2.9% to 3.6%. Enigma went from 0.8% to 1.4%. Lycan went from 0.7% to 1.2%. Earth Spirit fell from 2.7% to 2.0%, Doom from 2.1% to 1.5%, and Rubick from 3.0% to 2.4%.
