This Week in Dota 2: OG come back from 15,489 gold behind

It was a busy week in Dota 2. We had a big comeback at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE, a lot of prize money for one top team, a new transfer and fresh numbers for both pro games and ranked games. Here are the biggest stories, starting with the best one.

Which series was the best of the week?

OG beat Team Liquid 2–1 on 2026-10-25 at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE. OG won game 1 after being 15,489 gold behind.

A gold lead that big usually means the game is over. OG did not give up and still took the win. Game 3 then lasted 67:25, the longest game of the series. Read the full story in our Match of the Week post.

The same tournament had another close result. On 2026-10-28, GamerLegion beat LEGION 2–1. GamerLegion were 8,130 gold ahead in game 1 and still lost it. After that they took over the series and won the last two games with ease. Yuma had 29 kills in the series. More in our GamerLegion report.

BetBoom Team also made a move in the transfer list. They finished 2nd at Esports World Cup 2026, and on 2026-10-24 they signed the carry Bottega from PlayTime. The carry is the player who farms gold for late fights. The same week, player KJ left PlayTime and has no new team. Coach Astini also left PlayTime, on 2026-10-22. It was a quiet week with 3 moves in total. Details are in our transfer post.
