Team Spirit has won TI three times: 2021, 2023 and 2026. No other team has more titles. OG and Team Liquid have won two each. In 2020 there was no TI.

How big is the TI prize pool?
For many years, a part of the money fans spent in the game went into the TI prize pool. It grew to $40,018,195 at TI 2021 in Bucharest, the biggest prize pool in Dota 2 history.
TI 2022 still had $18,930,775. Since 2023 the prize pools are much smaller: TI 2026 had $3,906,263.
Where is The International played?
TI moves around the world. The first TI was in Cologne in 2011. Seattle hosted it many times. TI 2025 was in Hamburg, and TI 2026 came back to Shanghai, where OG won in 2019.
How do teams get into TI?
Valve invites some of the best teams of the year directly. The other teams win their spot in regional qualifiers. TI 2026 had 16 teams. Read how qualifiers work.
What is the Aegis?
The TI winners get the Aegis of Champions, a big shield. It is the most famous trophy in Dota 2.
