Who is the richest Dota 2 player by prize money?

N0tail leads the all-time list with $7,164,369. All ten players at the top have won The International, the tournament with by far the biggest prize pools. The record was $40,018,195 at TI 2021.

Among the teams, OG has won the most money: $37,768,267. See the full player ranking and the team ranking.

Do Dota 2 pro players get a salary?

Players in top teams are paid by their organisation, but teams do not publish the amounts. That is why nobody outside a team knows the exact salary of a pro.

Many pros also earn money with their own streams, videos and sponsors. These amounts are private, too. Prize money is the one number that is public for every player.

Why is there less prize money in Dota 2 today?

For many years a part of what fans spent in the game went into the prize pool of The International. Since 2023 the TI prize pools are much smaller.

TI 2021 had $40,018,195, TI 2026 had $3,906,263. Other tournaments, run by ESL, PGL, BLAST and others, pay out their own fixed prize pools. Read how prize money in Dota 2 works.
