Dota 2: Where are they now? N0tail, two-time The International winner

N0tail is one of the most successful players in Dota 2 history. His real name is Johan Sundstein. He is from Denmark and the Faroe Islands, and he was born on 1993-10-08. This month we ask the question: where is N0tail now?

What is N0tail's career in Dota 2?

N0tail started on Fnatic in 2012 and played there until 2014-08-27. Later he played for Team Secret, Cloud9 and (monkey) business before he joined OG on 2015-10-31.

He stayed with OG for more than six years, until 2021-11-20. In 2019 he also worked as a coach for OG's second team, from 2019-11-27 to 2020-07-01. He is known for playing the heroes Io, Elder Titan and Chen.

How much prize money did N0tail win?

N0tail has won $7,164,369 in prize money. That is place 1 on Liquipedia's all-time list.

The biggest part came from The International. OG won The International 2019 and the team prize was $15,620,181. A year earlier OG won The International 2018, and the team prize was $11,234,158. These are team prizes, so the prize money is shared between the players.

OG also won three other big events in 2016 and 2017: The Manila Major 2016 ($1,110,000), The Boston Major 2016 ($1,000,000) and The Kiev Major 2017 ($1,000,000). In 2016 the team won ESL One Frankfurt 2016 too, with a team prize of $157,273.

Where is N0tail now?

Liquipedia lists N0tail as a Coach with no team today. His last team was OG, where he was Head Coach from 2025-05-06 to 2025-10-29.

His years active are 2012 to 2022 and 2025 to present. Between 2021-11-20 and 2023-02-22 he was listed as inactive on OG. His last result as a player was 7th–8th place at The International 2021 with OG, with a team prize of $1,000,500.

We do not know what N0tail will do next, and we do not guess. The facts are clear: he has two International titles, more prize money than any other player on the list, and a new chapter as a coach. Want more news from the pro scene? Read our post about six teams left at BLAST Slam VIII.
