Collapse and Miposhka take a break from Team Spirit after TI 2026, Batyuk steps in

Team Spirit announced on Sept 21 at 09:00 UTC that offlaner Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov and coach Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov are taking a break. The news came four weeks after Spirit beat TEAM VISION 3-2 in Shanghai on Aug 23 to win The International 2026, the club's third Aegis.

Who replaces Collapse and Miposhka at Team Spirit?

Batyuk moves up from academy team Yellow Submarine to play offlane, and Illidan takes over as coach. Spirit play BLAST Slam VIII with Yatoro, Larl, Batyuk, not me and rue.

The replacements come from inside the house. Bohdan "Batyuk" Batiuk steps up from the academy, and Ilya "Illidan" Pivcaev previously worked at Yellow Submarine before taking the head coach role.

Why are Collapse and Miposhka taking a break from Team Spirit?

Spirit say nobody was pushed out: both breaks were expected and had been discussed during the season. Liquipedia lists Collapse and Miposhka as inactive players of the team, not as released.

That comes from the team's statement, where manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov explained the decision.

Spirit call Collapse the most successful offlaner in Dota 2 history: three TI titles and two Esports World Cup trophies since he joined in 2020. Miposhka lifted the Aegis as captain in 2021 and 2023, then helped win a third this summer as coach.

Which Dota 2 transfers are confirmed since TI 2026?

Since Aug 24, Virtus.pro, Falcons, OG, Xtreme Gaming, Liquid, BetBoom, Aurora, Yandex, Spirit, LGD and GamerLegion have all announced changes. Each one is listed below.

Spirit's news is the biggest name, but it is far from the only change. The table lists moves that a team announced itself and that Liquipedia logged in its transfer portal. Rumors stay out.

Why did Team Falcons leave Dota 2?

Team Falcons said on Sept 6 that a strategic review of its plans led the club to leave Dota 2 and focus on ecosystems it sees as a better long-term fit.

The TI 2025 champions are gone, and the exit sent skiter, Malr1ne, ATF, Cr1t- and Sneyking into free agency at once.

Most of them did not stay free for long. skiter signed with Aurora Gaming as carry on Sept 16, ATF joined Team Yandex a day later, and Sneyking landed at LGD Gaming. Cr1t- picked a different path: an indefinite break with no games next season.

Topson goes home as OG rebuild

OG rebuilt almost from scratch. After releasing TIMS, Raven and Yopaj on Sept 9 and saying goodbye to coach 343 when his contract ran out, the club brought back Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen on Sept 23. OneJey joins at position 4 and SSS arrives on loan from PARIVISION. Natsumi and skem stay, and kaffs takes over as coach.

Liquid, BetBoom and LGD reshape their cores

Team Liquid said goodbye to offlaner Ace on Sept 13 and signed Wisper as the new position 3 a week later. Then on Sept 28 the club confirmed that Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, its mid since December 2022 and a TI 2024 champion, is taking a break from competitive play. Liquid's farewell post opened with "A legend. A champion. A friend."

BetBoom Team moved gpk~ to inactive on Sept 13. He said he feels worn out after two long seasons and wants to rest before coming back. Coach boolk is also stepping away for a few months to spend time with his family. A day later BetBoom added swedenstrong at position 4 and handed the coaching job to TORONTOTOKYO.

LGD Gaming went international. On Sept 25 the club signed Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan and Davai Lama from Nigma Galaxy, plus former Falcons player Sneyking, Thiolicor and Wits.

What happens next

BLAST Slam VIII started on Sept 29, and it is the first real test for several of these lineups: Spirit with Batyuk and Illidan, OG with Topson back in the mid lane, and GamerLegion with Yuma, who made his debut on day one.

The shuffle is not over. As of Sept 30, Liquipedia's transfer portal shows no new team for Malr1ne or for OG's released trio TIMS, Raven and Yopaj. Until a team posts it, it does not go in this table.
